His tender mercy

It's been about 4 months without cancer treatment, which has been such a relief. I still have little, annoying symptoms, but nothing terrible. So my darling husband, John, and I decided to take a lovely vacation to the UK. We celebrated our 46th anniversary there! I'm a genealogy freak, so, as John would say, we spent a lot of time "visiting Cheryl's dead relatives." Churches and graveyards. Lots of castles too, but those are unfortunately not my relatives.
After the trip, I had another CT scan of the liver that showed the bile duct cancer tumor is a little bigger. Today, the Oncologist said that, since I'm not feeling too badly, we can wait for 3 months and do another scan. I am very content with that!
Life is a gift. We just keep moving until we can't. This old hymn by Fanny Crosby is especially meaningful to me right now.
All the way my Savior leads me; what have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy, who, through life has been my Guide.
Heavn'ly peace, divinest comfort, here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate'er befall me, Jesus doeth all things well.
